I have forever had a love/hate relationship with the Fox. I kinda like the looks, and not at the same time, but I can never argue with a 5.0 V8. How difficult is it to make them really handle, though?
I want a ‘Vert, too...

They’re not exactly stylish, I agree. The Fox (and early F-body) is the muscle car of my youth, so I have a real soft spot for the look. And the 5.0, well, I already have one in my truck, and I want that engine with half the weight.
As to handling, these guys are right across town.
Obviously you don’t have to go that far, but subframe connectors, bushings, fat swaybars, and control arms go a long way without breaking the bank.

I respect the LS, but I also object to (most) engine swaps that don’t keep it in the family. And the 5.0 is a great engine.

No, no. If you want to be all trashy & mismatched, swap in and L-89 (a cheaper and lower performing engine) and grow a Jheri curl. That would be all sorts of confusing, especially if you naturally have straight hair.

Manual 5.0 GT? The only things I’d be concerned with are the torque boxes and the rear axle being true.
I have the Fox affliction too. I’m saving my pennies for an SVO or Bubble Capri this time around.

My favorite of all time belongs to a guy who goes by Novi357 online. This car runs 8s in the quarter as it sits in that pic. Black notch FTW.

I've heard of that car, it's perfect! To many of these have huge hoods and all the usual Pep Boys add on shit, but they make such wicked sleepers when done right like this. Love it. A green LX hatch is my dream Stang, but the notches look mean. I loved them as CHP interceptors as a kid.
